Tennis Interclub Overview
If you’re reasonably serious about tennis or just wanting more of a challenge than playing socially, then consider playing interclub. Interclub is all about being a team player and is a great way to improve your game!

Teams are selected based on a combination of past performances, current grading, club championship results and the observations of the club selection committee. All members are entitled to register for selection by entering their names on the forms posted on the noticeboard at the start of the season. We endeavor to accommodate as many players as possible in teams.

Commitment to the team for the duration of the season is vital. If  uncertain about this commitment, you could still register as a reserve.

Current Interclub teams include:

Wellington ASB Regional Interclub
Regional Interclub combines teams from Hutt Valley & Wellington to cater for higher level players.

Teams consist of  four or 5 players (optional) in single sex grades, each player playing one singles and one doubles match. 

This competition is played in two rounds, one before and one after Christmas, with each round usually comprising seven matches. Matches are usually held on Saturday afternoons commencing at 1.00pm.

Tennis Upper Hutt is currently fielding Women's Regional 1 and Men's Regional 2 and 3 teams.

Hutt Valley Interclub
We field numerous teams in this local Hutt Valley based interclub competition played on Saturdays (usually). It comprises separate grades for Men & Women with four or five  players (optional) per team.

Like Regional interclub, the competition is split into two rounds, one played before and one after Christmas. Each round comprising seven matches. Matches are usually held on Saturday afternoons commencing at 1.00pm.

Different playing abilities are catered for in this competition.
