Welcome to my website.  This is a quick introduction to Tony Chad, singer/songwriter and poet and to Celtic band Finn McCool.  Also news on my monthly poetry magazine Valley Micropress, Poets’ Corner, annual events for National Poetry Day, and monthly radio show on Wellington Access Radio.

Tony performs regularly in greater Wellington, and has toured in the North and South Islands.  He was an invited performer at the 22nd S E Alaska Folk Festival, and has appeared six times in the Wellington Fringe Festival.

His music reflects his Celtic influences and includes lively Irish "pub" songs plus other material from the '60s and '70s.  Tony also writes his own songs, as featured on his debut album Sun over Kapiti and the Upper Hutt CD Homegrown in Upper Hutt alongside musicians such as NZ Idol judge Frankie Stevens.

Highlights in the past have included performances at Toast Martinborough, an evening concert at the Sound Shell as part of Wellington's Summer City programme, (also a previous Valentine's Night concert at The Dell ) Upper Hutt City Council's Sunset Concert, and twice at the Greytown Arts Festival.

Tony edits and produces monthly poetry magazine Valley Micropress.  This is a subscription based magazine with subscribers from around New Zealand and overseas. Only $30 for 10 issues posted to your home.

His latest poetry book is “Self Titled” in conjunction with HeadworX publishers, 2006.
