About Us
Welcome to Hutt Valley Riding for the Disabled
OUR ORGANISATION IS COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY, WE DO NOT GET ANY GOVERNMENT FUNDING.
We are part of NZRDA, one of 53 groups nationwide. We provide safe and professional riding programmes for people from every age group who have a wide range of physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities. We cater for up to 80 riders per week.
Established in 1978, our current site was purchased in 1995 and the covered arena was built in 2007.
Hutt Valley Group:
- Located in County Lane, Silverstream, Upper Hutt
- Affiliated to New Zealand Riding for the Disabled Association
- Caters to the Hutt Valley region from Te Marua to Eastbourne and Wainuiomata
- We ride on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (mornings only) and a Special Olympic program every 2nd Saturday
