To strengthen all Community organisations  of the Hutt Valley through networking, information, support, education and research. Hutt COSS started in 1984-85 from a need to have an impartial advocate and develop a hub for social and community services. Hutt COSS is linked to NZ COSS and other COSS organisations across New Zealand.

• Monthly Network Meetings With guest speakers each month, on topics relevant to groups across the not-for-profit sector. Meeting on the third Thursday of each month, at Te Awakairangi, 47 Laings Road, Lower Hutt, 12.30 - 1.45pm. Tea and coffee provided

• Circulation of news A weekly email of interest to the sector,

• Telephone and email advice

• Coordinator visits specialist networks in the valley to inform and listen to the needs and concerns that  may arise.

• The Trustees meet regularly in a governance capacity.
