ABOUT MEMBERSHIP & SUBSCRIPTIONS:
We are one of the over seventy similar Associations, with a combined membership exceeding 100,000, in New Zealand who are affiliated to the Grey Power Federation NZ Inc.
We are APOLITICAL, that is we support no particular political party, but advocate to Government and Local Government Councils, policies which we believe, will benefit our senior citizens and hence New Zealand.
There are about ten social meetings a year starting in February and ending in November. Your attendance at these meetings is very welcome, but there is of course no compulsion to attend.
These social meetings are generally held at the Hapai Club (next door to the Upper Hutt Police Station), Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt on the third Wednesday of each month.
The meetings commence at 2.00 pm and afternoon tea is about 3.00 pm.
We endeavour to get interesting speakers, and sometimes these will be politicians, health professionals, MSD representatives, or perhaps a member of the Grey Power Federation Board. Sometimes the committee will inform you of new issues or progress on old issues, or will seek your opinion on current issues, and this may not allow time for an independent speaker.
A telephone tree advises members of meetings and the newsletter will contain details, also we advertise the monthly meeting in the Upper Hutt Leader, our local community newspaper.

Our financial year runs from 1st April to 31st March.
Payment of your membership subscription entitles you to delivery of the Grey Power Federation Quarterly Magazine, the use of the Discount book and the local Branch newsletter etc. Your membership card displays the expiry date not the issue date.
