The Unit’s vision is: “To be the best Cadet unit we can be, striving for excellence in everything we do.”

Mission

The Unit’s mission has two parts:

·   To provide cadets with sound individual life skills and an appreciation of the Armed Forces and the   wider community through a spirit of adventure and teamwork.  

·   To encourage cadets to be the best that they can be.

Ethos and Values

The Unit’s ethos and values are identical to those of the New Zealand Army:

·   Ethos:   Serving New Zealand loyally and honourably

·   Values: Commitment, Comradeship, Courage and Integrity
