Unit Support Committee
The Team Behind Team 22
The Support committee is a small group of parents, caregivers and interested people that assist with the background support to the Squadron.
The committee are very relaxed and meet every month on the third Tuesday of the month, at the Squadron compound in Dante Road, except during the school holidays.
As an example of how relaxed and fun the committee is, at the moment, we have three members whose children moved on from the Squadron two years ago!
We look after the finances, help with fund-raising activities and look after the "business" side of the unit.
As a committee, fundraising is easy as most of the work is done by the cadets.
We are a part of the National Body and so are protected and guided by the bigger body of ATC.
We get strong support from Upper Hutt Rotary and get flying scholarships from the Lions Clubs in Upper Hutt
There is a typical structure for the committee, with a chairperson, a secretary, a treasurer, and a group of committee members.
The current officials are:
Chairperson: Paul Blane
Treasurer: Sue Roblett
Secretary: Sarah Kennedy
There is also a representative from the R.S.A.
New members are always welcome at any time. Even if you just want to come along as a "one off" to raise any issues you are more than welcome.
