Shooting
The Unit conducts range training with .22 calibre smallbore rifles. Cadets must pass a TOET (Test of Elementary Training) before being allowed onto the range. Officers who run these shoots are qualified instructors.
Cadets who achieve highly (80% or higher) on the range may be awarded a marksmanship badge which is then worn on their brassard. Cadets participate in annual competitions, including the Commonwealth wide competition, the Ffennell Commonwealth Shooting Shield.
