General Conduct (Will not)

Will not sleep in a tent or confined quarters with cadets of the opposite sex

Will not show favouritism for particular cadets

Will not have private talks with individual cadets away from the presence of other cadets

Will not carry one cadet alone in their vehicle

Will not go on a tramp or other activities with a cadet alone

Will not make suggestive or obscene remarks in the presence of other cadets

Will not touch a cadet in a way that can be misconstrued

Will not take part in body contact games for fear of exposure to harassment

Will not undress, or appear undressed in the presence of cadets of the opposite sex

Will not require cadets to undress without due respect for their privacy

Will not give alcohol, drugs, solvents, or cigarettes to cadets

 

General Conduct (Will)

Will assist in opening communications within their unit

Will have an “open door policy”

Will have other people with them in any situation that could be seen as potentially compromising or questionable

Will treat others as they would expect them to be treated

Will assist in developing unit etiquette

Will respect a cadets privacy and in turn expect them to respect theirs

Will develop a healthy lifestyle outside cadets with peers their own age

Will act with the maturity their rank and age dictate (be a role model for their cadets)

Will discipline and control behaviour without abusing cadets (build self-esteem, rather than shattering it)

Will be fair, firm, and friendly
